Radio Technician - 911 Center
Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining radio systems.
This position is expected to perform analysis, upgrades, modifications, maintenance, and repair work.
$30.66-$33.73/hour DOE plus an excellent benefits package
This position is hands-on with responsibilities that include installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining radio systems including but not limited to two-way portable and mobile radios, 911 dispatch consoles, in-building amplifiers and fire truck radio intercom systems. This position is expected to perform analysis, upgrades, modifications, maintenance, and repair work
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Technical expertise in 700/800 MHz and VHF radio systems and protocols required. • Two-way radio programming experience required. • Associate's Degrees in electronics or related field is preferred, an appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered. • Valid Colorado driver's license at time of appointment and throughout employment and good motor vehicle record required. • The ability to pass a CBI background check. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Customer service focus, self-motivated and ability to work independently and as a team member. • Ability to deal effectively with interruptions. • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring schematics.
