IT Technical Support Specialist
The IT Technical Support Specialist position supports users of the county's computer systems and network. This position works with all departments and levels of the organization. The ideal candidate is a technically minded individual with exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills. Experience working for a county or city government is preferred, but not required.
Primary job duties include:
Installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting & updating workstation and server hardware, application programs, and a variety of peripheral devices in a Microsoft environment. Troubleshooting, configuring, and testing network devices in a LAN, VLAN, WAN, and wireless environment. Configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting remote network access for remote staff, law enforcement mobile data terminals, and telecommuters. Supporting various communication systems including IP telephone, voicemail, email, and cell phones. Working with end-users to identify and resolve issues, provide support for new systems, and research new technologies. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or four years' experience. Experience with Microsoft products including operating systems, e-mail system, network access tools and workstation applications.
Salary & Benefits
County employees receive competitive pay and a generous benefit offering. The starting salary for this position is $27.63-$29.02 per hour.
