Patrol Deputy
The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking qualified applicants for the position of Patrol Deputy.
The primary responsibilities and skills include, but are not limited to:
Patrols county rural areas in the prevention and detection of crime. Responds to calls for assistance from the public involving criminal and non-criminal activities. Responds to all life threatening situations and renders necessary aid. Gathers evidence from investigations, files reports with the department and testifies in court on related matters. Skill in the use of firearms and defensive tactics. Familiarity with the geographic make-up of Goodhue County. Minimum Qualifications
POST licensed as a full-time peace officer or eligible to become licensed. Thorough knowledge of the laws of city, county and federal governments as well as arrest procedures, search and seizure, and other functions of a peace officer. Qualified applicants will also be able to pass a thorough background investigation and possess a valid driver’s license.
Compensation & Benefits: The Patrol Deputy position is compensated at salary grade 83 of the Goodhue County pay scale ($55,515 - $79,331, annually).
