Property Transfer Specialist
The Property Transfer Specialist performs a variety of advanced technical appraisal support duties involving a high level of decision-making responsibility under relatively minimal supervision. Responsibilities include technical work, which involves specialized knowledge of procedures, software programs, land transfer documents and statutory requirements. This position is plays a critical role in county property sales and classifications along with maintenance and understanding of the countywide property valuation records system.
The Property Transfer Specialist must possess a strong understanding of tax law, property classification and statuses as well as thorough knowledge of legal descriptions, deeds and title transfer procedures. The Property Transfer Specialist must be able to tactfully communicate with the public both verbally and in writing.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in:
Property linkage laws and related coding requirements; Analytical math skills and ability to perform complex calculations; Operating modern office equipment and related software including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite; and, Adapting to frequent changes in environment and schedule in a fast paced work setting. Associate's degree in real estate, business administration, math or related field or four years of a progressively responsible position Experience with various specialized software programs Experience in real estate appraising, title or abstract work as well as government preferred Compensation & Benefits
County employees receive generous compensation and benefits. The Property Transfer Specialist is compensated at salary grade 82 ($49,982 - $71,406). The starting salary for this position is $49,982 - $52,457.
