Library Associate - Muscoy
Note: The Library System has 32 branches throughout the County. This recruitment is for Muscoy only. If you are not interested in employment in Muscoy, you should not apply at this time. Minimum Requirements
Education: An Associate's degree.
-AND-
Experience: One (1) year of full-time (equivalent) experience in a customer service related industry, such as a library, retail store, restaurant, etc., which involved substantial in-person public contact; working directly with the general public on a constant basis; responding to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services. Experience must be clearly described on the application.
*Note: Clerical/office experience, or customer service experience obtained in a call-center are not considered qualifying.
Substitution: An additional two (2) years of customer service experience as indicated above may be substituted for 30 semester (45 quarter) units of the required education.
-OR-
Substitution: A completed Bachelor's degree may be substituted for six (6) months of the required experience as described above.
The Library System values employees who enjoy working in a high-demand, fast-paced customer service environment with a diverse population of patrons. Experience using computers and cash handling skills are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving youth; experience creating, implementing, and monitoring a wide array of programs; and possess strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
