Our Patient Registration and Call Center Representatives, known as Patient Access Liaisons at Summa Health, help people obtain something they truly need and value compassionate, quality care at Summa Health. As the initial contact for patients, physician offices and individuals in the community, you will provide exceptional service via the telephone or face-to-face in a patient care setting while scheduling procedures and collecting important data.
Position Summary: Summa Health's Patient Access Liaisons assist callers and/or patients in the following capacities: way-finding, appointment scheduling, pre-service registration, insurance verification, co-pay collection, financial counseling, physician referral, class scheduling and any other questions or concerns. Individuals in these roles provide a high level of customer service to present a positive impression of Summa Health.
Formal Education Required: o High school diploma/GED required o Post high school level coursework in healthcare, accounting, business, public relations or related field.
Experience and skills to succeed in this role include: At least one year of experience in a medical setting is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task Typing of 30 WPM. Ability to pass medical terminology exam Excellent attendance is required.
