Stormwater Inspector
Summit County is recruiting a Stormwater Inspector to help assist in the coordination and implementation of the Stormwater MS4 Program and related project activities associated with water quality, Best Management Practices (BMP) implementation, and stormwater pollution prevention. Will also conduct various field investigations and inspections, including compliance follow up issues, complaint response, enforcement of code violations, education, public outreach, and report preparation. May hire from one of the following levels depending on submitted qualifications and experience. Preference given to candidates with GIS experience.
Minimum & Special Qualifications
Stormwater Inspector I: High school diploma or equivalent, must receive Registered Stormwater Inspector (RSI) certification or equivalent within six months of hire, must possess a valid Utah driver’s license. Salary Range: $17.01 - $23.82/hr.
Stormwater Inspector II: High school diploma or equivalent, preference given to college education in a related field, RSI certification or equivalent within six months of hire, two years’ experience in water quality, must possess a valid Utah driver’s license. Salary Range: $18.02 - $25.25/hr.
Stormwater Inspector III: High school diploma or equivalent, preference given to college education in a related field, RSI certification or equivalent within six months of hire, five years’ experience in Stormwater, must possess a valid Utah driver’s license. Salary Range: $19.11 - $26.75/hr.
