SecretarySummit County Personnel
Summit County is seeking a part-time Secretary for Senior Citizens Services. Will be working 4 days a week; approximately 20 hours per week; time will be split between North Summit and South Summit Districts. Performs secretarial duties to facilitate the dissemination of information related to senior functions to citizens calling or visiting the Senior Centers, including answering the phone, and providing information to the public. Successful candidate will need to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and to act resourcefully under varying conditions.
This individual will need to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with attendees of our centers, fellow employees, and other public agencies.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school; plus one (1) year of training related to above duties; and one (1) year of responsible experience in secretarial duties or some other related field. Must be able to type 40 words per minute with accuracy. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Applicants must submit a type test with application.
Salary Range: $15.73 - $21.74 per hour.
