Software Developer Lead  

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. seeks a Software Developer Lead in Pittsburgh, PA.

Specific duties include:

(i) lead in the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems;

(ii) direct business assessment and requirements analysis processes for the development of hardware and operating systems;

(iii) coordinate coding, testing, implementation and documentation of application solutions; and

(iv) perform complex application programming activities including, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and modifying complex applications programs.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications or Computer Information Systems, plus 3 years of experience in a software development lead position requiring the development of software systems with responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks is required.

Must have experience with:

(i) Java 8+ and Real-time Java Application Development;

(ii) WebSphere 8.5+;

(iii) Oracle 12c;

(iv) Java Web Services/Rest API;

(v) Application Security;

(vi) Spring Boot Microservices with Docker Container;

(vii) Enterprise Integration with Apache Camel;

(viii) developing decision making solutions;

(ix) application design activities, tools and techniques, and utilizing these to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design;

(x) implementing processes for the evaluation and selection of products, tools, services and infrastructure components ensuring they are in line with business needs and architectural principles;

(xi) technical troubleshooting approaches and anticipating, recognizing and resolving technical problems; and

(xii) formal software process improvement disciplines, and assessing and improving the quality and stability of the applications.  

40 hours/week, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
